Jesus calls us to humble ourselves and to put our trust in Him. It takes a lot of courage to humble yourself in that way and fully depend on Jesus, but the second we do, everything comes into alignment again.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
We need Jesus to heal our land. Part of pushing pride aside and humbling ourselves is turning away from our sin and healing our land. That is to say, if we ask God to remove pride from our lives, we will be much more inspired and empowered to reach and help heal the people around us who are hurting.
